2007 MG State Titles Part 2 by Team Voodoo
Race one was fast approaching and still very light conditions. We headed out and hoped it would pick up by the time we started. We started in 5 knots and by time we got to the top mark it was going to be one of those races that was going to end up as the battle of the drifters. Kites were not filling as there was no puff in site. Geoff Henry on Phase 10 turned the no wind drifting into Australian idol with his beautiful pay outs of Mary had a little lamb. On the last beat they shortened the course, which was to my liking. We over took the boys on fireworks on this leg, nearly had Geoff, he was within an arms length of us.

2007 MG State Titles Part 1 by Team Voodoo
Our trip to Lake Cootharaba started early on Friday morning with Dad getting us up at 3.00 am to start the journey. Plan was to get on the road early arriving at Lake Cootharaba before or on lunchtime so that Voodoo could be rigged and sailed on the Lake quietly so we could have a feel for sailing on our unknown terrain. he plan was that Luke and myself were supposed to sleep on the trip there but nerves and excitement got the better of us and we were wide awake the whole trip.
